General questions
Where do you operate?
In Paris and across Île-de-France: Paris (75), Seine-et-Marne (77), Yvelines (78), Essonne (91), Hauts-de-Seine (92), Seine-Saint-Denis (93), Val-de-Marne (94) and Val-d'Oise (95).
What is the Verrou Method?
Our four-stage protocol: Detect (inspection and a map of entry points), Neutralise (targeted treatment), Lock (sealing access points) and Monitor (follow-up, photo report and written guarantee). The idea is to remove the pests and shut the door behind them.
How does online booking work?
Choose the service, floor area and number of visits and the price including VAT appears instantly. Pick a date and a 2-hour time slot, then pay securely online. Confirmation arrives by e-mail.
Are the products dangerous for children and pets?
We only use authorised products, applied by technicians holding the Certibiocide: locked bait stations, gels placed out of reach, and non-chemical methods whenever they are enough. The report lists the precautions to follow after the visit.
What do I receive after the visit?
A photo report by e-mail on the same day: findings, entry points, work carried out, products used, recommendations and a written guarantee.
Tenant or landlord: who pays for treatment?
As a rule the landlord, because since the 2018 ELAN law a rented home in France must be free of pests, unless the tenant's negligence is proven. We explain the rules in a dedicated answer.
Detailed answer →In a co-owned building, who should call you?
The property manager (syndic) for common areas, and each owner or occupant for their own flat. Treating both in a coordinated way is often the key.
Detailed answer →Do you work with businesses?
Yes: restaurants, shops, offices, hotels, short-let hosts, landlords and property managers. We offer one-off treatments and prevention contracts with regular visits and reports.

Rodent extermination
See the service →Is the bait dangerous for my cat or dog?
The bait is shut inside key-locked stations, so an animal cannot get to it. In professional kitchens, or if you prefer, we use mechanical traps with no chemicals at all.
Detailed answer →Why block the holes once the rats are gone?
Because an open gap is an invitation: other rodents follow the same scent trails. Sealing is the step that makes the result last, and it is the heart of the Verrou Method®.
Detailed answer →How many visits should I plan for?
Two in the vast majority of cases: the treatment, then a follow-up 10 to 15 days later. A third visit is advisable when the infestation spreads across several floors of a building.
What if there is a smell after the treatment?
Let us know: the technician will locate the area during the follow-up and suggest the least invasive fix, whether that means removing an accessible carcass or treating the odour.
Detailed answer →Insect treatment
See the service →Do I have to empty all my cupboards first?
No. For a gel treatment, just clear the space under the sink and behind appliances. For fleas or moths, you will receive a precise preparation list (vacuuming, washing textiles) when you book.
Why a second visit for cockroaches?
Their egg cases, called oothecae, resist most products. The follow-up takes place once they have hatched, so the new generation is reached before it can breed.
Detailed answer →Can gel be used in a working kitchen?
Yes. It is applied as small droplets in inaccessible spots (hinges, under worktops, appliance motors), has no smell and does not require you to stop service.
Detailed answer →Bed bug eradication
See the service →Do I need to throw away the mattress?
Usually not: dry steam followed by a full encasement is enough. We only advise replacing a mattress if it is torn open, because the insects can then hide out of reach inside it.
How long do I need to stay out?
Allow about four hours after the visit for treated rooms to dry and air. Vulnerable people, pregnant women and pets should stay away during that time.
Detailed answer →Why are two visits needed?
A few eggs may escape the first treatment, tucked into an unreachable corner. The follow-up, scheduled after the hatching period, deals with that generation before it can lay eggs in turn.
Could my neighbours be affected?
Yes, in blocks of flats bed bugs move through ducts and along skirting boards. If you live in a shared building, tell the managing agent: inspecting adjoining flats prevents reinfestation from next door.
Detailed answer →Wasp and hornet nests
See the service →Do you destroy honeybee swarms?
No. Honeybees are valuable pollinators: we never destroy them and will point you to a beekeeper who can collect the swarm.
Can I stay at home during the visit?
Yes, as long as you keep windows on the nest side closed and keep children and pets indoors for about an hour. Then avoid going near the nest until the next day.
Detailed answer →Why doesn't the price depend on the size of my home?
Because we treat a nest, not a home: the effort is the same for a studio as for a large house, so the price stays fixed.
Premises disinfection
See the service →What is the difference between cleaning and disinfecting?
Cleaning removes visible dirt; disinfecting destroys the remaining micro-organisms with a biocide applied for the right contact time. We do both, in that order.
Do the products leave a smell or residue?
The disinfectants we use evaporate once they have done their job. Airing for one to two hours is usually enough before using the room again.
Do you provide proof of treatment?
Yes. The report states the date, the surfaces treated and the products used; you can pass it on to your landlord or insurer, or show it during an inspection.
Prevention plan
See the service →How often do you visit?
From four visits a year for a residential building with no history to monthly visits for a professional kitchen. The frequency is set after the initial audit and can change with the results.
Detailed answer →Does the log help during a hygiene inspection?
It brings together the station map, the readings from each visit, the products used and corrective actions: exactly what inspectors ask for to check that a pest control plan is really being followed.
How long is the commitment?
The standard plan runs for twelve months. The exact term and cancellation conditions are set out in the proposal we send you after the audit.
