Bed bug eradication

Dry steam, treated hiding places and a follow-up: quiet nights again.

from

213 € incl. VAT

Duration

1.5 to 3 hours depending on the number of rooms. Second visit around day 15.

Bed bugs travel in suitcases, second-hand furniture and garment bags. By day they hide in mattress seams, cracks in the bed base, skirting boards or behind picture frames, and they only come out at night.

Our protocol combines high-temperature dry steam, which kills eggs and adults on contact, with an approved insecticide applied only to the hiding places we have found. You receive a preparation sheet (wash linen at 60 °C, keep bags sealed) and we come back about two weeks later to deal with any newly hatched bugs.

Méthode Verrou®

The Verrou Method® for this service

Four steps, always in the same order: we never treat before we understand, and we never leave before we have sealed.

    Detect

Bed-by-bed, room-by-room torch inspection to locate the hotspots and the rooms still clear.

  2. 02

    Neutralise

Dry steam on mattresses, bed bases and textiles, approved insecticide in cracks and hiding places, no blanket spraying.

  3. 03

    Seal

Encasements if needed, instructions for linen and luggage, unaffected rooms kept isolated to prevent spread.

  4. 04

    Monitor

Second visit around day 15, hotspots checked, photo report and written guarantee.

Your questions

Dry steam, treated hiding places and a follow-up: quiet nights again.

Book a visit →

Do I need to throw away the mattress?

+

Usually not: dry steam followed by a full encasement is enough. We only advise replacing a mattress if it is torn open, because the insects can then hide out of reach inside it.

How long do I need to stay out?

+

Allow about four hours after the visit for treated rooms to dry and air. Vulnerable people, pregnant women and pets should stay away during that time.

Why are two visits needed?

+

A few eggs may escape the first treatment, tucked into an unreachable corner. The follow-up, scheduled after the hatching period, deals with that generation before it can lay eggs in turn.

Could my neighbours be affected?

+

Yes, in blocks of flats bed bugs move through ducts and along skirting boards. If you live in a shared building, tell the managing agent: inspecting adjoining flats prevents reinfestation from next door.
