Commitment 04/04

A scheduled follow-up visit, not a one-off call-out

We come back to check the result, adjust if needed and tell you how to keep pests from returning.

A pest treatment can't be judged on the day: baits, gel or steam need time to work, and then the result has to be checked. That is why the protocol includes a follow-up visit, the Monitor step of the Verrou Method.

No serious professional can promise that pests will never come back: new ones can arrive from outside, from a neighbour or in luggage. Our commitment is one of means: we apply a professional protocol, check the result and give you clear advice.

In practice

  • 1

    Planned from the start

When the protocol includes a follow-up visit, its date is shown on your treatment report.

  • 2

    Result checked

The technician looks for signs of activity and checks the stations, the treated areas and the sealed entry points.

  • 3

    Documented follow-up

Every visit comes with a same-day photo report that builds on the previous one.

  • 4

    Advice to prevent a return

Hygiene, storage, entry points to watch: you know what is in your hands to limit the risk of re-infestation.

What happens during the follow-up visit

The technician compares the situation with the first report: bait uptake, fresh signs, the state of the proofing, whether live insects are still present. If activity persists, he adjusts the treatment provided for in the protocol and explains why.

It is also the moment to go back over the instructions: what has been done on your side, what still needs fixing, and which entry points are worth keeping an eye on.

Why we don't promise the impossible

The outcome also depends on things nobody fully controls: pests brought in again (second-hand furniture, travel, a neighbour's building work opening a gap), instructions that are hard to follow, or access points you chose not to have sealed. Instead of a promise, we give you a protocol, a check and written advice.

If activity reappears, call us: we look at the situation with you, using the reports already sent, and suggest the most suitable next step.

For households

You aren't left on your own after the first visit: the result is checked and you know what to do to limit a return.

For businesses

For property managers and businesses, the follow-up visit can lead into a prevention contract with regular visits and documented follow-up.

Frequently asked questions

When does the follow-up visit take place?

The timing depends on the pest and the protocol, to give the treatment time to work. When a follow-up visit is planned, its date is shown on your treatment report.

What if pests are still there at the follow-up visit?

The technician adjusts the treatment provided for in the protocol, explains what he has found and records everything in that day's photo report.

Can you promise the pests will never come back?

No, and nobody honestly can. We apply a professional protocol, seal the planned entry points, check the result and give you precise advice to limit the risk of a return.
